The Belaire Cove chapel of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Ville Platte, Louisiana was dedicated on March 3, 1940, built partly through a $2,000 grant from the Catholic Church Extension Society of Chicago. Part of a rural Cajun community in the Diocese of Lafayette, the chapel gathers neighbors each Saturday for a 4:00 PM vigil Mass and hosts an annual crawfish cook-off that draws hundreds from the greater Ville Platte area, alongside pro-life prayer groups and stained glass windows of historic significance.
