John DuBois established the area's first Catholic congregation — one of the oldest in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The current church was dedicated in 1897, and its historic cemetery holds graves of relatives of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Daily morning Mass is offered Monday through Friday, with a Saturday vigil and multiple Sunday Masses shared with Our Lady of Mount Carmel in nearby Thurmont.
