The Cathedral of St. Joseph in Burlington, Vermont traces its roots to 1850 as the first French Canadian parish in the United States, with its striking Baroque Revival red sandstone church — the largest in Vermont, seating 1,200 — completed in 1887. Since 2018 it has served as the sole cathedral of the Diocese of Burlington, offering Sunday and Saturday morning Masses alongside a monthly bilingual Vietnamese–English liturgy that reflects the diocese's growing immigrant community.
