Founded in 1860 by Bishop George Aloysius Carrell, Holy Family Catholic Church in Ashland, Kentucky is one of the oldest Catholic parishes in the region and joined the Diocese of Lexington in 1988. Under the pastoral leadership of V. Rev. D. Andrew Canon Garner, KHS, the parish offers daily weekday Mass, four Sunday Masses including a 4:00 PM Spanish Mass, a Saturday vigil, weekly Eucharistic Adoration, and active ministries including a Knights of Columbus chapter and a Catholic high school scholarship fund.
