St. Luke Czech Shrine in Loma, Nebraska preserves the faith of the Czech Catholic immigrants who settled Butler and Saunders Counties, with the church originally established as an active parish in 1912. After closing in 1992, the restored building reopened as a shrine administered through Holy Trinity in Brainard, hosting periodic Sunday afternoon Masses and maintaining an active cemetery as a living memorial to the region's Czech Catholic heritage.
