St. James' Church

For more than a century, St. James' Church has anchored midtown Kansas City near Troost Avenue, welcoming first-generation immigrants from dozens of nations — the flags of parishioners' home countries hang from the choir loft. Under Pastor Fr. Don Farnan, this Diocese of Kansas City–St. Joseph parish offers Mass and worship materials in English, Spanish, Filipino, Portuguese, and several West African languages, embodying its identity as "small enough to know your name and big enough to make a difference."
