The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, founded in 1880 on Peachtree Street in the heart of Atlanta, was elevated to a Minor Basilica in 2010 — one of the few in Georgia. Under the Archdiocese of Atlanta, it offers four Sunday Masses alongside a daily lunchtime Mass and welcomes both English- and Spanish-speaking worshippers through its active Hispanic ministry. Its recently redecorated interior and basilica standing make it a spiritual landmark in the city.
