Immaculate Conception of the BVM

Immaculate Conception Parish in Panna Maria, Texas, holds a singular place in American Catholic history as the church of the oldest permanent Polish settlement in the United States, founded in 1854–1855 by Polish immigrant families who gathered for their first Mass beneath a sheltering oak tree. The mid-19th-century brick church, flying American, Texan, and Polish flags, stands within the Archdiocese of San Antonio's Floresville Rural Deanery and draws pilgrims and historians alongside its faithful parishioners. Sunday Mass is celebrated at 8:30 a.m., with weekday and Saturday vigil Masses offered throughout the week.
