The Cathedral of St. Patrick has served as the mother church of the Diocese of Charlotte for over 80 years, guided today by Bishop Michael T. Martin, OFM Conv. Situated in Charlotte's Dilworth neighborhood, the cathedral offers three Sunday Masses, daily noon Mass on weekdays, and a Saturday vigil, alongside an active parish life that includes Knights of Columbus, weekly Adoration, and robust faith formation from children through adult OCIA.

Families of children preparing to celebrate First Holy Communion must be registered and active members of a Catholic parish, and the child must be baptized in the Catholic Church.

Confirmation Preparation (Confirmation I)

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins in January of eighth grade (Confirmation I).
Teens attend for the first half of the year. Requires prior Faith Formation attendance.
