The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower, operated by the Discalced Carmelites in San Antonio, is dedicated to St. Thérèse of Lisieux and stands as "The Heart of Carmel in San Antonio." Four Sunday Masses are offered in English and Spanish, including a 10:00 a.m. Mass attended by La Cofradía de Nuestra Señora del Carmen. The basilica hosts a monthly First Friday Healing Mass, the annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel novena in July, and perpetual Eucharistic Adoration on its campus, which also includes a monastery, school, and the St. John of the Cross Center.
