The Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine in south Oklahoma City honors the first U.S.-born priest to be beatified by the Catholic Church — an Oklahoma native martyred in Guatemala in 1981. Dedicated on February 17, 2023, the 53-acre campus features a 2,000-seat church in Roman Baroque and Spanish Mission style (echoing Rother's missionary church in Santiago Atitlán), a Tepeyac Hill replica with Our Lady of Guadalupe, and the tomb of Blessed Stanley himself. Drawing roughly 120,000 pilgrims in its first year, the shrine offers three Sunday Spanish Masses, one English Mass, a daily noon Mass, and a Saturday vigil within the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
