Founded over 170 years ago on California Street in San Francisco's Chinatown, Old St. Mary's Cathedral — served by the Paulist Fathers since 1894 — survived the 1906 earthquake and today blends Catholic tradition with Chinese heritage through English and Cantonese ministry, St. Mary's Chinese Language School, and weekly service at St. Anthony's Dining Room. Two Sunday Masses and weekday noon Masses anchor a community that has shaped Catholic life in the Archdiocese of San Francisco for generations.
