About St. Clara de Asís

Founded in 1777 by Franciscan missionaries and later entrusted to the Jesuits in 1851, Mission Santa Clara de Asís sits at the heart of Santa Clara University — the first institution of higher education in California. Today the Mission Church serves the university's students, faculty, and neighbors in the Diocese of San Jose with three Sunday Masses (10 AM, 5 PM, and 8 PM) and a daily noon Mass Monday through Friday.
