The National Shrine of the Little Flower, dedicated to St. Thérèse of Lisieux, is a landmark Art Deco minor basilica in the Archdiocese of Detroit, designated a national shrine by the U.S. Bishops in 1998 and elevated to minor basilica by Pope Francis in 2015. Built between 1931 and 1936, its octagonal nave seats 3,000 and features the Charity Crucifixion Tower with a 28-foot limestone Christ figure. Five Sunday Masses are offered in English plus a Spanish Mass, with weekday Masses throughout the week.
