Our Lady of Sorrows in Delta Junction, Alaska is a resilient frontier parish of the Diocese of Fairbanks whose current building originated as a surplus military barracks donated by Eielson Air Force Base and relocated to the site in the mid-1960s. The tight-knit congregation worships daily — morning and evening Masses most weekdays plus a Saturday vigil — and has twice expanded its volunteer-built church to keep up with a growing community at the edge of the Alaska Highway.
