Founded in 1903 in the Bronx's Van Nest neighborhood, this Archdiocese of New York parish had as its first pastor Daniel J. Curley, later Bishop of Syracuse. Its present Gothic Revival church was dedicated in 1929. Now joined in a cluster with neighboring St. Dominic, it offers daily Mass at 8:30 a.m., an additional Friday evening Mass, a Saturday vigil, and two Sunday Masses.
