Built in the late 1870s and serving Catholics in the seaside communities of Bolinas and Stinson Beach, this small Marin County mission survived the 1906 earthquake and gained its bell tower in 1908. Its congregation grew with Swiss-Italian and Portuguese immigrant families, and the adjacent Briones Graveyard is among Marin's oldest cemeteries. Now part of Sacred Heart Parish in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, it offers a single Sunday Mass at 10 a.m.
