About Gesu Church

Founded in 1926 and staffed by the Jesuits since its beginning, the Church of the Gesu in University Heights grew up alongside neighboring John Carroll University and today serves more than 2,700 families in the Diocese of Cleveland. Rooted in Ignatian spirituality and its motto of Eucharistic living and generous serving, the parish offers multiple daily morning Masses, a Saturday vigil, and three Sunday liturgies, along with Gesu Catholic School.
