Built in 1912 by Czech Catholic immigrants near Loma, Nebraska, St. Luke's was preserved as the St. Luke Czech Shrine after the parish closed in 1992, standing today as a memorial to the Czech community of Butler and Saunders Counties within the Diocese of Lincoln. The shrine, administered from Holy Trinity in Brainard, hosts occasional Sunday Mass and maintains the adjoining St. Luke Cemetery.
