About St. Michael the Archangel Parish

Founded in 1899, St. Michael the Archangel is the heart of the Polish-American Catholic community in Fairfield County, served by the Conventual Franciscan Friars of the St. Maximilian Province from Gdansk, Poland. Most of its Sunday and weekday Masses are celebrated in Polish, with English and even German liturgies during the week. The Bridgeport parish keeps a Polish School, an Ostrobramska chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn, and a relic chapel holding relics of over 120 saints.
