The mother church and seat of the Diocese of Cleveland, the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist was consecrated in 1852 and built in the Gothic style by architect Patrick Charles Keeley. Standing in downtown Cleveland, it offers daily Masses on weekdays at 7:15 a.m. and noon, a Saturday vigil, and three Sunday Masses for worshippers and visitors to the historic seat of the local Church.
