Established in 1966 as Plano's first Catholic community, St. Mark the Evangelist grew so quickly that it spawned several other area parishes within a decade. Today this Diocese of Dallas parish serves a large Spanish-speaking community alongside its English-speaking members, offering three Spanish Sunday liturgies, weekday morning and midday Masses, and both English and Spanish Saturday vigils.
