Holy Saturday. The Church keeps vigil at the Lord's tomb. After nightfall, the Easter Vigil is celebrated as the mother of all vigils, with the blessing of the new fire and Paschal candle, the Liturgy of the Word with up to nine readings, the Baptismal Liturgy, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist (USCCB Liturgical Calendar 2026).
