Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Friday after the Octave of Corpus Christi. Celebrates the love of Christ symbolized in his pierced heart. Pope Pius IX extended this Solemnity to the universal Church in 1856 (USCCB Liturgical Calendar 2026).
