Saint James Catholic Church is a Roman Rite parish located in Irwin, Illinois, within the Diocese of Joliet. The parish is named after Saint James the Greater, one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He was the son of Zebedee and brother of Saint John the Evangelist, and was martyred in Jerusalem around 44 AD. He is traditionally recognized as the patron saint of pilgrims and Spain.
